Why Move To Music?
As a child I was very active; dancing on stage from the age of 3, playing guitar and the drums and participating in national cross country and athletics championships.
Following a successful corporate career, this passion remains, so Move to Music is a fusion of the two things I love dearly - music and movement.
I've benefitted from practicing yoga, meditation and pilates for over 10 years and as I have an interest in musculoskeletal health, mobility and rehabilitation, I undertake independent physiotherapy study and shadowing to enhance my knowledge.
I am fully qualified to teach Yoga and Meditation, Sound Bath Meditation, Somatic Dance Meditation, Comprehensive Pilates Encompsassing Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates, Tower & Cadillac Pilates, Pilates Chair, Pilates Barrel, Zumba and Dance Fitness, Personal Training and Nutrition, Gym Instructing, Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Rehabilitation via Exercise Referral Programs With A Particular Specialism in Lower Back Pain and Chair Based Yoga and Dance for those with limited mobility; all of which enable me to cater for different clients' needs and provide positive synergy across these disciplines.
I teach and consult across a range of sectors including wellbeing events, community projects, gyms, corporate offices and I also offer private, one to one, sessions.
I'm passionate about widening accessibility to health and fitness, so I've worked with schools; teaching yoga and dance to children and I also create chair based exercise classes for adults with limited mobility with a particular focus on Multiple Sclerosis patients.
